Dans le cadre de son engagement à soutenir le développement de la prochaine génération de professionnels du secteur spatial au Canada, l’Agence spatiale canadienne (ASC) participe au Projet NASA I2 [site web disponible en anglais seulement]. Grâce à sa participation, l’ASC peut nominer des étudiantes et étudiants universitaires hautement qualifiés qui, s’ils sont choisis par la NASA, pourront participer à des projets de stage avec des étudiants américains et de l’étranger.

L’Avis d’offre de participation (AOP) Participation d’étudiants canadiens au Projet international de stages de la NASA (NASA I2) (été 2022, automne 2022 et printemps 2023) est actuellement ouvert. Les étudiantes et étudiants canadiens de cycle supérieur sont invités à soumettre leur demande.

  • Financement disponible (été 2022, automne 2022 et printemps 2023) : Jusqu’à 8 000 $ pour un stage de 10 semaines (été) et jusqu’à 11 000 $ pour un stage de 16 semaines (automne et printemps). Ce financement est offert par l’ASC, Mitacs et Fulbright Canada.

As part of its commitment to support the development of the next generation of space professionals in Canada, the CSA participates in the NASA I2 Project. Through its participation, the CSA may nominate highly qualified university students who may subsequently be selected by NASA to participate in internship projects along with U.S. students and students from abroad.

The Canadian Student Participation in the NASA International Internship (NASA I2) Project (summer 2022, fall 2022 & spring 2023) Announcement of Opportunity (AO) is currently open. Canadian graduate students are invited to submit their application.

Summary of key information:

  • Funding available (summer 2022, fall 2022 and spring 2023): Up to $8,000 for a 10-week internship (summer) and up to $11,000 for a 16-week internship (fall and spring). This funding is made available by the CSA, Mitacs and Fulbright Canada.
  • Number of grants: Up to six (6) grants for the timeframe covered by the AO.
  • Eligible recipients: Please refer to Section 3 of the AO.
